Our Mission
“At Wise Wombman Co., we have created a safe, supportive, and open space for all individuals. We are aware of the systematic racism that BIPOC ( Black, Indigineous, Person Of Color) women face. We focus on inclusivity and acknowledge all cultures, races, ethnicities, gender, and spiritual backgrounds. We believe all life is precious, and when life is born into peace & love.. Versus trauma & fear…. the extraordinary happens! Generational Healing. The beginning of healing a generation through teachings, support, and love. Our Ancestors were the leaders, teachers, midwives, and doctors of their communities. They were the foundation of their communities, responsible for their survival & continued growth. They healed & powered their communities forward together, through their holistic gifts & purpose. This is Wise Wombman Co.'s mission! Today, In the United States, Black women are 3-4x more likely to suffer from birth related complications! The reason for this you may ask?.... Research shows it is due to Institutional & Societal Racism! At Wise Wombman Co., we aim to fill the gaps in the birth space & in our communities. To be that ultimate support! By creating Wise Wombman Collective we are making it easier for our community to gain access to the knowledge & professional support they desire & need. We are a collective of Doulas(birth, postpartum. fertility),Breastfeeding Specialist, & Childbirth Educators!
Soon to add....Massage Therapist, Placenta Encapsulator, Pelvic Floor Therapist, Nutritionist, and Midwives*.

Our Collective
Hello, My name is Chelsey! I have 3 children, two girls and one boy. I've had 2 hospital births and one home birth. I am a pregnancy/ birth Doula and trained breastfeeding support specialist. I first found out what a Doula was when I was preparing for the birth of my eldest daughter. The name came up when I was looking up how to make a birth plan, and that's when I first became interested in Doula. It wasn't until 5 years later when I became pregnant with my son, and having a Doula present for his birth is when I decided I wanted to be one myself. Though my births went as planned, there are wombman that have had traumatic birth experiences that shouldn't have. The BIPOC shouldn't be 3x more likely to die in child birth alongside their white counterparts, and that's where I come in to help smooth the curve. So every Wombman can feel safe, heard, and supported through their pregnancy and birth. I feel like Doulas are undervalued and very much needed in our community.
Hello, My Name is Elexus! I am the Owner & Co-Founder of Wise Wombman Collective! I created Wise Wombman Collective from a dream.... A dream of a healed & thriving community supported by great healers, teachers, and midwives....like our ancestors once experienced. I want to live in a world where injustice- birth injustice specifically, doesnt exist! As black/brown human beings, we have sustained alot of trauma (past & present)... trauma is stored in our dna & is passed down to our decendants. Bringing new life into the world should not be traumatic! Birth is Sacred. Life is Sacred. & they deserve to be protected, supported, & nurtured. Famililes deserve to know all their options/ choices, & their concerns deserves to be heard & addressed!
